Beyond The Job
When I manage to tear myself away from the office, I make a concerted effort to be an active voice in my community, and lend my skills to my neighbors.
I currently serve on the board of the Feed The Kids Golf Tournament, an organization that seeks to end childhood hunger and support area food pantries through the fundraising work of our annual golf tournament. Since our founding in 2018, we have raised over $100,000 for No Kid Hungry and the Holyoke Weekend Backpack Program. In my capacity as Webmaster and Silent Auction Organizer, I oversee both the organization’s website and the presentation and fulfillment of the event’s largest fundraising element.
The Ronald McDonald House of Springfield, MA is another organization dear to my heart. I have served on the advisory council since 2015, and am proud to be a part of the Marketing, Media, and Communication committee, and founding member of the Red Shoe Run 5K committee. Launched in 2018, the Red Shoe Run is an annual 5K walk/run fundraiser in Springfield, Mass. with nearly 200 participants.
Every October, I also lend my assistance to Rays of Hope as a Finance Room Volunteer, tasked with compiling pledges and verifying funds received.
